Anna Mae Babicky, age 96, passed away on October 10, 2025. Anna Mae was born on January 20, 1929 in Wausau, WI to Christian and Amelia (Schneck) Holzem. Anna Mae Holzem married James Babicky on October 21, 1950 in Wausau WI.
Anna Mae spent countless hours sewing and crafting. She made many beautiful quilts. Anna Mae and Jim spent time on Sand Lake in Harshaw, and their winters at 29 Palms in California.
Anna Mae is survived by: (3) Children: Catherine (Jeff) Smith of Rocklin, CA, Russell (Linda Zettler) Babicky of Weston, WI, and Jamie (Adam) Elsmo of Hamburg, WI, (4)Grandchildren: Kacey Smith, Andrea (Erik) Engstrom, Jonathan (Danielle) Babicky, Ashley Elsmo, (7)Great-Grandchildren: Addalyn, Joseph, William, Oliver, Bronson, Devin, and Lydia. (3) Sisters: Cecilia Gwidt, Christine (Roger) Sefton, Sandra Dorshak and many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James Babicky, Brothers: Gregory, Donald, Alex, Marvin, and Charles. Sisters: Kathleen (Pierce) VanVreede, Marcella Berndt, and Arlene Loss. Brother-in-laws: Charles Pierce, Eugene VanVreede, Arthur Berndt, Robert Gwidt. and Jerome Loss. Sister-in-laws: Mary Jane Holzem, Phyllis Holzem, Marjorie Holzem, Doris Holzem, and Barbara Holzem.
Memorial Service will be held on Saturday November 1, 2025 at 11:00 AM at St. Agnes Catholic Church (6101 Zinser St, Schofield, WI 54476) Fr. Derek Sakowski will officate. Visitation will be held on Saturday November 1, 2025 from 9:30 am until the hour of Service at the church.
