Ardith May Parsells

December 10, 1943 — March 3, 2026

Wausau

Ardith May Parsells, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 3, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on December 10, 1943 in Antigo, WI she was the daughter of Alfred and Edna Rotell. On July 30, 1961, she married the love of her life, Richard Parsells, and together they built a life centered on family, kindness, and unwavering support for those around them.

Ardith will be remembered most for her deep love of family and the special role she played as a grandmother and great-grandmother. Her home was a place where everyone felt welcome—often filled with the comforting smell of homemade bread, stories from years past, and the sound of laughter. She took great joy in traveling to new places, particularly to watch her grandchildren’s hockey games, soccer matches, cheer competitions and music concerts, always fully invested as their biggest supporter.

Throughout her life, she worked at UMR in various positions, where she was known for her hard-work and humor. Outside of work, she enjoyed baking, trips to the casino, and most of all time spent with her family. Whether she was sharing family recipes, or offering words of encouragement, she had a quiet way of making others feel cared for and valued.

She is survived by her loving children, Penny Parsells, Greg Parsells (Shelly), and Pam Waldinger (Shawn); her cherished grandchildren, Molly Parsells, Sarah Parsells, Adam Parsells (Jaedyn), Brayden Waldinger and Jordyn Waldinger; and her great-grandchildren Acker, Pax, and Bosco Parsells. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, her husband, her siblings Jo-Ellen Weber and George Rotell; and her daughter in law Shelly.

A small family memorial service will be held on March 13, from 10-12 at Brainard Funeral Home in Wausau. Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate a life filled with love and devotion.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to K-tech Charities: https://k-techkleening.com/k-tech-charities/

Though she is deeply missed, her family finds comfort in the many memories she leaves behind and in the love she shared so freely with all who knew her.
