Dominic Hoppa

Dominic Hoppa, Bevent, died Thursday, July 5, 2018

He was Born December 31, 1920. Dominic helped farm the Hoppa homestead for a number of years. He also logged, taking part in some of the initial logging of Rib Mountain. Most of his adult life however he worked as a carpenter and roofer. Drive past one of the many barns in Marathon County and there is a good chance that Dominic roofed it.

Dominic never married but there wasn’t a lady around that would turn him down to dance a polka.

He was preceded in death by his infant twin sister, Dominica, and 12 other brothers and sisters. He is survived by one brother, Richard.

Dominic will be truly missed by his great nephew and his great nephew’s family.
