Florence D. Hirsch

Florence D. Hirsch, age 95, of Wausau, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at Pride TLC, with her family lovingly by her side.

Florence was born on February 19, 1930, in Wausau to the late Frank and Anna (Fara) Miller. On November 5, 1955, she married Wallace Hirsch at Holy Name Catholic Church. Together they raised three children: Steve, Brian, and Jolene.

Florence had a gentle spirit and a creative touch. She enjoyed crocheting and lovingly crafted many beautiful afghans over the years. She had a soft spot for animals-especially dogs-and found joy in bird watching. She was also an avid reader and devoted Milwaukee Brewers fan.

She is survived by her children: Steve (Penny) Hirsch, Brian (Caryn) Hirsch, and Jolene (Jess) Baumgartner; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Wallace; and her sister, Arlene.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the compassionate staff of St. Croix Hospice and Pride TLC.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Croix Hospice.
