Gary Winn, 81, of Wausau, WI, passed away on April 30, 2026.
He had an impressive career in the Army, received serval honors for his time in Vietnam, and later went on to continue his occupation as a CPA.
In 1969, Gary married Robyn Parmelee. They were married for 52 wonderful years. They displayed an inspiring example of how to support one another through love and life. Together they pursued a passion of travel and photography. As members of several art groups they participated in many shows & received multiple awards for their work.
Gary and Robyn were both incredibly kind, tender and loving humans. They lived a very content life, enjoyed being with each other and hosting friends and family. Together they raised three girls and instilled their love of travel with a lifetime filled of joyful memories.
Gary had a jovial sense of humor and will be remembered for his 'dad jokes' and ability to make others smile. His engaging personality intrigued people and he loved finding connections with others while sharing stories about his photography.
A Memorial Art Show will be held in Gary's honor, at his home, instead of a traditional funeral, on June 27th 2026. Both Gary and Robyn's art will be on display and offered to those who attend. A donation box will be available for Rennes Health & Rehab Center, Facility, The Good News Project Inc, & Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.
