Harold R. Eisenman, age 97, was welcomed home to his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at Mount View Care Center in Wausau, WI.
He was born June 7, 1928 in Three Lakes, WI to Julius and Eva (Torstenson) Eisenman. He was united in marriage to his loving soul mate Beverly Green on May 2, 1953 at St. Stevens Church in Wausau. They recently celebrated 72 blessed years together.
Harold proudly served his country in the United States Army with the 1st Cavalry Division. During his service, he was awarded the World War II Victory Medal and the Army of Occupation Medal (Japan). After his military service, Harold worked the majority of his life for Weyerhaeuser where he wore many hats, retiring in 1989. He was an active member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and also proudly belonged to American Legion Post 10 for 60 years, where he continued to serve his community and fellow veterans. Harold loved woodworking and built many homes that his wife Beverly and daughters Lynn and Laurel were able to enjoy. Harold was always willing to help anyone who needed it and cherished spending time with his family and friends.
Harold is survived by his beloved wife Beverly; Children, Lynn (Lee) Schoepke, Laurel (Dave) Schmieder; grandchildren, Nicole (Jeff) Starck, Megan (Wyatt) Thompson, Eric (Heather) Schmieder, Ryan (Jamie) Schmieder; great-grandchildren, Ethan Starck, Braxton, Sawyer and Asher Thompson, Noah and Ella Schmieder and Mason, Elin and Camden Schmieder. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, parents-in-law, siblings, Irene Kesse, Joyce Lass, Carol Boomer, Edward Eisenman and Allen Eisenman.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, October 30th, 2025 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (930 Edgewood Rd, Wausau, WI) with full military honors to follow. A visitation at the church will take place from 12:00pm until the time of service. Internment will take place at Restlawn Memorial Park at a later date.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff from Mt View Care Center for their comfort, care and compassion and also for the wonderful care given by the staff of St Croix hospice.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Harold’s name to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
