Harold J. Weber, age 88, of Wausau, passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at the Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was the son of the late Arthur and Alice (Chiber) Weber, born on May 21, 1938 in the township of Hewitt, with a midwife attending in his parents’ home. He attended Pershing Grade School in the town of Hewitt, and graduated from high school in Wausau, WI. Harold had lived in the township of Hewitt all his life.
For many years, he baled hay suitable for horses. He was also a truck driver, but was a farmer through and through. He had a passion for working his land and keeping the family farm going. Harold also was employed with Marathon Box, Northland and Omni Glass as a painter. In his younger years, he was an avid snowmobiler and was in various snowmobile clubs.
Harold is survived by his brother: David Weber of Wausau, half-sister: Toni Pribnow, nephews: Scott of Washington state, Todd of Wausau, several cousins and long-time companion: Judy Springer. He was preceded in death by his parents.
The funeral service for Harold will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Brainard Funeral Home, 522 Adams Street, Wausau, WI 54403. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service, also at the funeral home. Burial at the Trinity Cemetery in the town of Texas will immediately follow the service.
