February 1, 1948 — January 22, 2026

Jean Ann Anderson, age, 77 of Wausau, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 22, 2026 at Pride TLC Therapy and Living Campus.

She was born on February 1, 1948 in Minot, North Dakota, a daughter of Herbert and Eleanor (Peake) Guenthner. She was married to Rodney Anderson.

Jean embraced a life with a warmth and kindness that left a lasting impression on all who knew her. A true homebody, Jean devoted her life to her family and created a nurturing environment that joyfully revolved around her kids and grandkids. They were the light of her life, bringing her immense joy and pride. Jean possessed an unwavering ability to listen and support, always offering a comforting presence and wise counsel when needed. Her children and grandchildren were not just part of her life; they were her greatest legacy.

Known for her steadfast nature and positive spirit, Jean accepted life's challenges with quiet confidence and a positive attitude. She was a kind soul, genuinely caring for others and finding joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as snacking on tiny bits of chocolate and peanut butter. Her passion for reading murder mystery novels was only rivaled by her commitment to fostering close relationships, whether at home, with friends, or while working at Target and her other jobs. Though not a social butterfly, she possessed a unique ability to bring people together, creating bonds that reminded us all of the importance of connection and community.

Jean remained a universally positive force for her family, embodying a silent strength that inspired those around her. Her quiet yet firm approach to life taught many the value of resilience and kindness in the face of life's ups and downs.

She is survived by, her children: Jenny (Keli'i Rice) Anderson, Aaron (Kristen) Anderson; grandchildren: Brooklyn Hess, Olivia Hess, Victoria Anderson, William Anderson; siblings: William Guenthner, and John Guenthner.
