Jill Marie Kreitzer, 54, of Wausau, Wisconsin, unexpectedly passed away on September 20, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, love, and vibrant energy. Born on February 12, 1970, Jill was a light in the lives of those who knew her, remembered for her endless sense of adventure and her fierce dedication to family.
Jill was the beloved daughter of Edward (Eddie) Kettner and the late Marveen Kay Kettner, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her siblings Diane Kettner-Hoeppner and family, Michael Kettner and family, and Greg Kettner, with whom she shared many cherished memories throughout her life.
As a mother, Jill's love knew no bounds. She leaves behind her three children: Cody Kreitzer (wife, Kaylee Kreitzer), Steven Kreitzer (fiancé, Tom Moreno), and Cassandra Kreitzer. The pride of Jill’s life was also her grandson, Crete Kreitzer, whom she adored. Her role as a mother and grandmother brought her immense joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them. She was fiercely protective of her family, ensuring they were always safe, supported, and loved.
Known by many affectionate nicknames, including “Jilly Bean,” “Jill the Jeweler,” and “Diva Jill,” she was always the center of excitement. Her ability to bring people together and make them laugh was legendary, and she could turn even the most mundane days into an experience.
Jill worked as an Assembly Specialist at Graphic Packaging International, but her heart was always in jewelry. Her true passion lay in creating beautiful, timeless pieces as a jeweler, and she was well-known for her artistic eye and attention to detail. She earned the nickname "Jill the Jeweler" for her talent in transforming ideas into exquisite creations, much like she transformed everyday moments into cherished memories for those around her.
One of Jill’s most beloved expressions of her personality was her love of the color purple, which symbolized both her creativity and her regal, bold presence. Purple was woven throughout her life, from her wardrobe to the vibrant pieces she designed, reflecting her unique, sparkling spirit.
Jill’s favorite song, *Diamonds* by Rihanna, was a perfect representation of her—someone who shone brightly, lighting up every space she entered. Just like a diamond, Jill’s presence was powerful and unbreakable, her strength and brilliance unmatched.
Jill's final act of kindness was to give the gift of life through organ and tissue donation.
Visitation will be held at Brainard Funeral Home, 522 Adams Street, Wausau, WI, on Monday, September 30, 2024, from 11am-12:45pm with a celebration of Jill’s life at 1 pm. All who knew and loved her are welcome to come share stories, memories, and laughter in her honor. Jill’s love, laughter, and adventurous spirit will forever remain with us, shining as brightly as the color she adored.
Jill Marie Kreitzer will be remembered not only for the beauty she crafted with her hands but also for the joy, adventure, and warmth she brought into every life she touched. Rest in peace, Jilly Bean. You may be gone, but your light will never fade.
