Obituary

Judith Ann Anklam, age 83, of Wausau, Wisconsin, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2026, at North Central Healthcare in Wausau.

She was born on February 13, 1943, in Wausau, a daughter of Stanley and Sue (Dodge) Carlson. She graduated from Wausau High School with the class of 1961. Throughout her life, Judy worked as an accountant for Weston Construction and as a receptionist for Rudahl and Howell.

Judy played 1st base Slo-pitch softball sponsored by Carlson-Thaler Oil. They won the Wausau Area Softball Association Women's slo-pitch tournament four years in a row during the early 1970's. She also enjoyed spending time with friends at Ruthie & Sully's cottage, watching many Packer games at the Cop Shoppe and going out to eat. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Wausau.

She was a 50+ year member of Sweet Adeline's with Center Point Chorus in Stevens Point. She sang baritone in a quartet and participated in many performances, later becoming the director. Center Point Chorus sold creme puffs at many area events where she was the "master whipper". Judy was a member of Elks Lodge #248 and directed the choir.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Sue; siblings, Tom (Jean) Carlson, Jack (Diane) Carlson and Janet Carlson.

The family would like to express appreciation to North Central Health Care for providing loving care to Judy these past 4 1/2 years and Center Point Chorus for the many visits to NCHC to perform for Judy.
