Judy May Kivlin

Jun 15, 1936 — Jun 15, 2026

Judy May Kivlin was born on June 15, 1936, in Antigo, Wisconsin, to Joseph Andrew Baraniak and Magdeline Barbara (Schwingle) Baraniak. She passed away peacefully in Wausau, Wisconsin, on June 15, 2026-her 90th birthday.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Larry Kivlin; her parents; her maternal and paternal grandparents; her three brothers and their spouses, Robert (Carol), Jack (Arlene), and Richard (Marge); and two nephews, Dean and Jeff.

Judy and Larry were married in May 1963 and shared a devoted life together until his passing in December 2008.

Judy lived a life grounded in family, friendship, and quiet dedication to the people and places she cherished. She found joy in simple pleasures, especially walking and spending time outdoors, where she felt most at peace. Music was also an important part of her life, and she especially enjoyed playing the piano.

She deeply valued her friendships and looked forward to her regular breakfast gatherings with friends at Coppertop in Madison, Wisconsin. Judy took great pride in her professional work with the State of Wisconsin and found meaning in her time volunteering at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison, where she was able to serve others and build lasting connections. She also supported her husband in operating the Kivlin Livestock Company.

Judy is survived by five nieces and four nephews, who will remember her for her warmth, steady presence, and the love she extended throughout her life.

She will be remembered with deep gratitude by all who knew her and will be dearly missed.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
