LeeAnn Gail Burton

Lee Ann Burton passed away on January 21,2026. She will be missed by her loving children, Blake, Brad, Scott and Jenny and their families.

Lee Ann was born, in Schofield Wisconsin, to Earl and Alice Heinrich on August 13, 1938. She was lovingly supported by her extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Lee Ann was the youngest of 3 siblings, Alan Heinrich, Lois Manthe. She met her husband Terry Burton while attending DC Everest High School. They married and she moved with him to Madison Wisconsin. They eventually returned to Schofield where they raised their 4 children. She was an active member of Wausau Curling Club and Wausau Country Club. She enjoyed traditional rug hooking and knitting. She knit many pink beanies for the Aspirus cancer area. She was very close to her siblings and made many trips “east” to the casino with them. There were many wonderful memories made at the family cabin on Lake Nokomis and Crystal Lake Campgrounds. She was actively involved with her grandchildren’s lives babysitting, sleepovers, grandma trips, and supporting all their activities.

She is preceded in death by the love of her life, Terry Burton, her parents and siblings. She is survived by her children, Blake (Sandy) and their sons Blaze and Ben, Brad (Cheri) and their daughters Emily (Jeff) and Katherine (Nick) and her 2 great grandchildren Eliot and Rowan, Scott (Amy) and their children Cade, Connor, Kellen, and Quinn, and her daughter Jennifer Soley.

Her family would like to thank Primrose Memory Care staff and St. Croix Hospice for their compassionate care she received.

Visitation will be held at Brainard Funeral Home – Everest Chapel, 5712 Memorial Ct, Weston, WI, on Thursday, February 5th, 2026, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Private burial of ashes will be on February 6th. Arrangements are with Brainard Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
