Leo M. Sann Jr.

Leo Sann Jr., age 86, passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at his home, in the town of Texas, due to illness.

He was the son of Leo Sann Sr. & Lillian. Leo attended Wausau East High School. He was a dairy farmer until his retirement in 2020. Leo’s greatest enjoyment was the gun deer season that he looked forward to every year, where you would find him in his huntin’ shack from 5:30 am until 4:30pm all 9 days. He also enjoyed his polka music on Saturday and Sunday mornings, watching baseball, and tootling around on his side by side, visiting with the neighbors, and in his younger years, he enjoyed fishing and cutting wood.

Leo is survived by his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as a brother: Mel Sann & Audrey of Wausau. He is preceded in death by his parents: Leo Sr. & Lillian Sann and 2 brothers: Lyle and Wayne Sann. He will be sadly missed.

The visitation for Leo will take place on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, from 6pm until 8pm at Brainard Funeral Home, 522 Adams Street, Wausau, and again on Thursday, September 10, 2026, from 10am until a short prayer service at 11am, also at the funeral home. Burial at Restlawn Memorial Park will immediately follow the prayer service. A celebration of life will be held at the Greykowski Barn on Shady Lane Road, Wausau, following the burial.
