Lucie Pietsch

Jan 22, 1935 — Jul 22, 2026

Lucie Pietsch, age 91, of Schofield, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 22, 1935, in Neheim-Hüsten, Germany, to August and Lucia Cloer.

At the age of 19, Lucie made the move to the United States. In Rockford, Illinois, she met the love of her life, Karl, who had recently come from Germany, as well. The two later married and together they built a home centered on love, family, and unwavering devotion. Karl preceded her in death, along with her parents and her two brothers, Hansel and Paul.

Love of God and family were very important to Lucie. Her kindness, generosity, and selfless nature touched the lives of everyone who knew her. Lucie embodied the true meaning of a German Hausfrau-a homemaker who took immense pride in caring for her family and creating a warm, welcoming home. Whether she was preparing delicious meals, keeping an immaculate house, or ensuring everyone around her was cared for, Lucie found joy in serving others. Lucie also enjoyed her work as a bookkeeper. Camping with her family at Clear Lake and Lake Madeline created countless cherished memories. Those simple moments spent together were among her greatest treasures.

Lucie was deeply loved by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who affectionately called her "Omi." Her gentle spirit, warm heart, and unconditional love created a lasting legacy that will live on through them.

She is survived by her five children: Claudia Carlson; Renate (Ray) Wisniewski; Christopher (Kathy) Pietsch; Andrew Pietsch and Wolfgang Pietsch. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many other loving relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.

Lucie's family would like to thank the staff at Lili Gardens for their compassionate care and also the Heartland Hospice team, who were so very capable and kind.
