Marna Jane Kasprzycki

Marna Jane (nee Woodward) Kasprzycki died peacefully on July 28, 2026, in Kronenwetter, WI surrounded by her family.

Marna was born on December 29, 1934, in Milwaukee, WI the only child of parents Francis J. Woodward and Bertha (nee Grochan).

She married Joseph Kasprzycki in 1949, at St. Therese's Church in Schofield, WI. Joseph died in 1998. She married James Matchie (deceased) in 2006.

She was employed many years as the head of the food service program at DC Everest High School in Schofield, WI.

She is survived by five children - Barbara Geurink, James (Bonnie), Thomas (Eileen Petersen), Carole (Mark Zimmermann) and Mary Bowen (Robert). She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jane.

She is also survived by nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Marna loved life and was always ready for new experiences. She loved her family, traveling, cooking, reading and meeting new people. She was always curious and until the end of her life was interested in learning new things. She had a bigger-than-life personality that touched everyone who met her.

Visitation for Marna will be held on Friday, July 31st from 10 AM until the time of her Funeral Mass at 11 AM at St. Therese Catholic Church, 113 W. Kort Street, Rothschild, WI. Interment will follow in Gates of Heaven Cemetery with a luncheon to follow at the church.

The family would like to thank the staff, in particular Kris, Jade, Gabby and Mandy at Cedar Creek Manor Assisted Living; and the nurses at Compassus Hospice for their kind and dedicated care of Marna over the past months.
