Patricia (Pat) Anne Schoenherr, went home to Heaven on May 14. Pat is survived by daughters Susan Stratta (Paul Bass) of Omaha, Nebraska and Kim Ramquist (James) of Bloomington, Minnesota and sons Christopher (Diane) of Rochester, Minnesota, and Kent (Beth) of West Lakeland Township, Minnesota and grandchildren Michael and Erin Stratta, Grayson (Nicole) Vangen, Raela and Lowell R. (Elizabeth) Schoenherr and great-grandchildren Reed, Wyatt, Rizbeth, Joyce, Ethan and Leah Patricia. She was preceded in death by her parents, and by her husband of sixty-two years, Lowell E. Schoenherr.

Pat was born in Mauston, Wisconsin on April 4, 1930, to Patrick and Mary Brunner (Nate). She met her husband Lowell while attending the University of Wisconsin - Madison. She finished both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees years later while working full time and being an amazing mother and wife.

Pat was part of the original on-air team at WAOW, Channel 9 in Wausau when the station began broadcasting in 1965. After her TV career she spent over two decades teaching communications at what is now North Central Technical College. After she and Lowell retired, they enjoyed traveling together.

She will be remembered as a loving wife, wonderful mother and a great friend to the wide circle of ladies she routinely met with for investment club, golf and lunch.

The family extends a special thanks to her caregivers, Angie, Courtney and Angela, whose care allowed her to stay in her beloved condo overlooking Wausau’s west side until her passing.

A Mass of Christian burial will take place on June 12 at 11:00am at St. Mathew’s Catholic Church, 227 South 28th Avenue, Wausau, Wisconsin. A reception with light refreshments will follow immediately after Mass. Pat will be interred with her husband at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
