Patricia "Pat" A. Schreiber, 98, of Wausau, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 29, 2026.
She was born on March 17, 1928, to the late Harry and Elnora (Haufschildt) Nienow, in Brokaw, WI. On May 15, 1948, Pat married Clarence Schreiber at St. Paul United Church of Christ, in Wausau.
Pat loved to read, spend time in the garden, and she also enjoyed cooking and baking. She was a generous person, and she loved serving the church in many different ways. Pat served on the Woman's Guild for many years. A great joy in Pat's life was her grandchildren and her great grandchildren; she loved spending as much time with them as they grew up. Pat was a foster parent to Deb and Jeff, keeping in touch with them after they moved out. Pat always welcomed people into her heart and home, keeping up friendships with them forever.
Patricia is survived by her children, Alan (Ruth) Schreiber, Terry Schreiber, and Mary (Roger) Anderes; grandchildren, Joe (Lora) Schreiber, Mike (Ashley Krautkramer) Anderes, Jennifer (Randall Pyke) Anderes, Sandra (Ben Weisner) Ferge-Weisner, Rebecca (Kevin) Berry, and Zach (Tessa) Schreiber; great grandchildren, Hunter, Morgan, Hannah, Alivia, Jack, Ty, Michael, Vincent, MaKayla, Sophia, and Ireland; great great-grandchild, John; her sister, Virginia Lang; sister-in-law, Marjorie Nienow; foster children, Deb and Jeff; special friends, Alex, Joan, Betty, and Lois; as well as many grand-dogs, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Schreiber; sisters, Marion (Leonard) Czaplinski, Delores (John) Wald, Darlene (Charles) Asmundsen, Carol (William) Hackbarth and Joan (Ernest) Schreiber; brothers, Harry Nienow Jr., and Tom Nienow; brother-in-law, Earl Lang.
A funeral service in Pat's honor will take place at 11:00 am, on Friday, September 11,2026, at St. Paul United Church of Christ, in Wausau. Pastor Christopher Ewan will officiate. Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until the time of services at the church. A burial at Restlawn Memorial Park will directly follow services.
