Richard “Dick” D. Roloff, age 78, of Weston, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, May 6, 2026. He was born on June 29, 1947, to the late Wilbert and Gladys (Blossom) Roloff in Wausau, WI. Dick attended and graduated from Wausau East in 1965 then went to NTCwhere he received an Associates Degree in Accounting. After college graduation he was drafted into the United States Army. He bravely served his country from November 13, 1967 until September 19, 1969, and was honorably discharged on November 13, 1973. Dick met Carol Easker, the love of his life and his soul mate, and the two exchanged marriage vows on April 10, 1971 in Wausau, a union lasting over 55 years.
He began his working years helping his father at the famly Piggly Wiggly, in Schofield until the business was sold. He then worked in various types of management positions at manufacturing companies throughout his adulthood. Including Drott Manufacturing, where he was an inventory control analyst; Marmet Manufacturing in production management and Imperial Industries in quality and safety control. Dick also worked at Dale’s Weston Lanes as an event coordinator until 2020.
Dick is remembered as a meticulous man, that was very organized and had a great sense of humor. During his younger years, Dick enjoyed camping and fishing, as well as coaching his son Dan in Little League. He was an avid bowler, golfer, deer hunter and looked forward to watching all of the Wisconsin sports teams. He took pride in maintaining a well-kept yard and paid close attention to every detail. He loved his pets – his faithful dog Tippy, and his two cats Bailey and Norman. Dick was a member of the American Legion, and was a proud patriotic man. He was entertaining, loving and generous, an all-around good guy that could get along with anyone! He enjoyed his daily meetings at Kelly Club where he considered himself “The Mayor”. Dick will be sadly missed by his loving family and friends, but never forgotten.
Dick leaves behind his wife: Carol Roloff of Weston, son: Dan (Christy) Roloff of Weston, daughters: Michelle (Jason) Witz of Mosinee, with their daughters: Amanda (Tristan) Riedel and Skylar Witz (Dylan Block) and Vickie Roloff (Jason Levine) of Oregon, WI, with their son: Atticus Levine, brother: John (Nancy) Roloff of Wausau and sister-in-law: Jane Seubert, as well as many nieces and nephews and good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandchildren: Alexis and Logan, and brothers: Larry (Sue), Lloyd (Rosie), and Jim Roloff.
The Celebration of Life for Dick will be held on Sunday, May 17, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m., with military honors being conducted at 3:30 p.m., all at Brainard Funeral Home in Weston.
The family wishes to thank all of the caring and compassionate emergency responders that came to assist Dick.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Alexis P. & Logan D. Memorial fund.
