Dick shared his passion for baseball by coaching several American Legion teams, bringing many championship trophies home. Always a Minnesota fan, he enjoyed season tickets to Gopher football, the North Stars hockey and watched football, baseball, basketball and hockey whenever he could.

Survivors include his five daughters, Theresa (Robb) Shepherd, Wausau, Tracy (Dale) Flowers, Apopka, Fla., Cindy Robinson, Minneapolis, Wendy Ahlstrom, St. Francis, Minn. and Shelly Clapshaw, Port Angeles, Washington; 18 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; and sister Sharon (Larry) Smoots.

The family thanks Aspirus Hospice, Wausau Manor, Applegate Terrace and Athenian living for their care and compassion, along with the Veterans Administration whose support was immeasurable.

A private service will be held at a later date.
