Ronald Joseph Windorski

Ronald Joseph Windorski, 73, of Weston, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2026. He was born on November 18, 1952, in Wausau, Wisconsin, to Theodore and Theresa (Discher) Windorski. He grew up in the Wausau area and built a life centered on family, hard work, and helping others.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his beloved son, Scott Windorski.

Ronald shared a loving life of 52 years with his wife, Karen, and took immense pride in his family. His greatest joy was his four granddaughters, Madison, Briley, Hailey, and Vivian. They were truly the light of his life. He cherished every moment with them, whether he was cheering them on at school events, picking them up from school, delivering popsicles to them when they were sick, or coming up with fun activities like playing kick ball, going to the beach and digging up worms to go fishing, going for "wild rides" on the swing, ice fishing or going for rides around town. Always keeping the girls busy, the list is endless.

Ronald was known for his generous heart and welcoming spirit. Whether he was ice fishing at the shack, playing cards, or enjoying time at the lake, anyone who stopped by quickly became a friend. He loved making wood, shooting pool, bowling, golfing and relaxing with a brandy old fashioned sweet. He was always ready to lend a helping hand to his neighbors, doing so with a smile and never expecting recognition or thanks.

A hard worker, Ronald had a long career at Federal-Mogul, where he enjoyed working and made many great friends. He also took pride in and loved his work siding houses, operating Windorski Siding after Federal-Mogul closed. He took immense pride in his craftsmanship, especially the steel siding he installed in his earlier years, which still looks great on many homes around Wausau today.

While living in Schofield, Ronald faithfully answered the call to help others as a volunteer firefighter and EMT with the Schofield Fire Department. Even after leaving the department, he continued his training to serve as a first responder at Federal-Mogul. His dedication to serving others truly reflected the kindness and selflessness that defined his life.

Ronald is survived by his loving wife, Karen Windorski of Weston; his children, Jodi Beck (Matt) of Weston and Erik Windorski (Amanda) of Rothschild; his cherished granddaughters, Madison, Briley, Hailey, and Vivian; his brother, Tom Windorski (Sue) of Wausau; along with many extended family members, friends, neighbors, and all those whose lives were touched by his kindness.

A visitation will be held Friday, July 24th, 2026 from 12 pm to 1 pm at Brainard Funeral Home - Weston, Wisconsin. A memorial service will follow at 1 pm with Father Janusz Kowalski officiating.
