Trull, age 86, who passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, February 20, 2026, in Rothschild. Visitation will be from 4:30 pm-7:00 pm, Thursday, March 5, at Brainard Funeral Home in Weston and will continue on Friday from 9:30 am-11:00 am at the church.

Scott was born on May 28, 1939, to Shirley and Lucille (Brewster) Trull in Waupaca County. He graduated from Nekoosa High School in 1958. Scott proudly served our country in the United State Air Force in 1958 and received a medical honorable discharge.

He attended the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada, from 1960-1961, receiving an Ontario Diploma of Horticulture. Scott also took several classes through UW-Madison in professional Horticulture. He took classes from Trinity Christian College in Palos Heights, IL, for four years receiving an honorary Bachelor's degree toward pastoral counseling. Later in life, Scott did Certified Nurse's Assistant Training through NTC.

Scott was united in marriage to Patricia Emmes in 1963 in Wisconsin Rapids and later divorced. He then was married to DiAnne Keck Kuklinski in 1978 in Wausau until she passed away in 2002. Scott then married Arlene Gross Trewyn Braithwaite on October 27, 2007, in Wausau.

Scott worked numerous jobs throughout his life. He started out by doing an apprenticeship in greenhouse operations and management in Burlington, IA, 1963. After his apprenticeship, he worked at Leap's Greenhouse in Wausau, WI, as a manager and grower. Scott worked at K Mart in Wausau in various departments until becoming the manager of the garden department for a few years. He then worked for the City of Wausau/ Marathon County Parks Departments as a Horticulturist. He also worked part time for years at Andy Borguine's greenhouse on Birch Street in Schofield and part time for years at Ed Prohaska's nursery in Rothschild off Weston Avenue. Scott then worked at NTC in Wausau as call staff in Horticulture for 20 years, then eight years as an Agriculturology instructor. He was proud to be instrumental in working, helping, and teaching the Hmong population gardening skills. He developed the first sustainable agriculture program in Wisconsin which is now a Master's Degree program at the University of Wisconsin. He was appointed by the State Department of Agriculture to be on the first Organic Gardening Certification Board. Scott started the New Directions Biblical Counseling Center in Wausau and Mosinee helping others for 20 years from 1980-2000 as a licensed pastoral counselor. He was sent out as a local missionary through the Great Lakes Baptist Conference. He was also active in starting The Neighbors' Place. Lastly, Scott was a shuttle bus driver/greeter for Aspirus Hospital in Wausau from 2005-2011.

Scott will be remembered for his active creativity, making a motor bike when young for his transportation and using it to make store deliveries. He and a fellow student were the school artists and he won a trip to art school in Minneapolis, MN, where he met his teacher, Charles Schulz, who became famous for creating the comic, "Peanuts". Since he had a knee replaced after his military service, he wasn't able to bend that knee. Therefore, he made a rowing bike, an airboat, campers, a lawnmower with a rider behind, and gardening planters to help those with physical disabilities plus teaching others how to use their cane to defend and exercise. He held a Black Belt from the CaneMasters International Association. He was a wonderful storyteller, had a great sense of humor, and loved sharing his strong faith in God. He was an inventor (having a patent for a Connector Block and various copyrights), a handyman, and had experience being a meat cutter, deputy, firefighter, and he enjoyed meteorology. Scott was very musically talented and shared that talent being in quartets and playing the harmonica (once happily meeting the Harmonicats). He was always welcoming of others and will be missed by all who knew him.

Scott is survived by his wife, Arlene Trull of Rothschild; daughter, Pamela (John) Schneider of DePere, WI; stepchildren, Ben (Kris) Kuklinski of Merrill, WI, Annette (Rick) Block of Wittenberg, WI, Keith (Connie) Trewyn of Phillips, WI, Barry (Vicky) Braithwaite of Somerset, WI, and Brandon (Loyda) Braithwaite of Shorewood, MN; grandchildren, Hailey King, Blake Lepel, Jayden Lepel, and Chase Lepel; step grandchildren, Aron (Ellie) Joles, Anthony Rowe, Shawn (Amanda) Trewyn, Alexis (Joel) Brei, Ryan (Erin) Trewyn, Hannah (Dylan) Elliott, Grace Braithwaite, Lily Braithwaite, Ayla Braithwaite, and Hahmi Braithwaite; and 6 great grandchildren.
