Terrance "Terry" Charles

Terrance "Terry" Charles, age 71, passed away on September 5, 2025, with family by his side after a decade-long battle with cancer. The world lost a remarkable man, but heaven gained a storyteller, an artist, and a soul full of laughter.

Terry was born in Green Bay, WI, on September 27, 1953, to parents Walter and June (Kuske) Charles. He graduated from Premontre High School in Green Bay, WI, and earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point. He married Rosalind Dulak of Ringle, Wisconsin, on November 4, 1989, at St. Florian's Catholic Church in Hatley, WI.

Terry spent most of his career as an environmental health and safety manager for Domtar (Weyerhaeuser) before retiring in 2013.

Whether he was fishing, hunting, painting, golfing, making a delicious soup, or strumming a tune, he poured his heart into everything he did. When he set his mind to learn a new skill, he mastered it and shared his talents with everyone. Terry was a natural athlete. He played basketball in high school, fast-pitch softball as a young adult, and later in life enjoyed golf, curling, and bowling. Some of Terry's happiest moments were at the family cabin in Lakewood, Wisconsin, where his memory will continue to live on.

Above all else, Terry was devoted to his family. As a husband, father, and grandfather, he was always ready with wise advice, a listening ear, or a perfectly timed joke to lighten the mood. His kindness was limitless, and his selflessness was an example to everyone around him.

Terry is survived by his wife, Rosalind Charles; daughters Alison (Doug) Dunaj, Emilee (Derek) Green; grandson, Charles Dunaj; brothers, Mike Charles, John (Bonnie) Charles; sister, Melissa Peeters; aunts and uncles, Robert "Vie" (Gloria) Charles, Evelyn Kamps, Carol (Bruce) Anderson; as well as many sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Walter & June Charles; father and mother-in-law Frank & Stella Dulak; aunts and uncles Helen & Ben Williams, Jules "Bud" & Cordella "Corkie" Charles, Cyril & Marie Cornell, Frank & Mabel Staszak, Edward & Gladys Giesler, Wilbert "Whitey" & Lois Kuske, Melvin "Bud" & Carol Kuske, and William "Bill" Kamps; brothers and sisters-in-law, Harold Rutkowski, Russell Wenzel, Darold Buettner, Frank Zoromski, Theodore Dulak, Jim Porter, Mary Dulak, Holly Charles.

Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at 12:00 PM at St. Marks Catholic Church (602 Military Road Rothschild, WI 54474). Visitation will be held on Thursday September 18, 2025 from 10:00 AM until the hour of service at the church.

In honor of Terry's vibrant spirit, the family kindly asks that guests wear colors other than black.
